A Natural Wine Lover's Guide to Minneapolis

We tapped our friends at Roostock Wine Company, our Minnesota distributor, for their favorite things to do in the City of Lakes. Find their top spots in town below, and bookmark for your next visit to the Midwest!

WHERE TO EAT

Demi

Chef Gavin Kaysen is kind of Minnesota's local celeb chef—and for good reason. Originally from Thousand Oaks, CA, he spent time as the Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Operations for Daniel Boulud in New York City before settling in Minneapolis. He now has several award-winning restaurants, Demi being one of them. See if you can spot your Martha Stoumen favorites on the menu—it rotates!

Tilia

This well-known neighborhood gem in South Minneapolis is a team favorite!

The Get Down Coffee Co

This new(ish) Black-owned coffee shop has been working to rebrand and rebuild this part of North Minneapolis. Co-owner Houston White has partnered with Dan of Dogwood Coffee Co to create an inclusive and welcoming speciality coffee shop. The coffee is delicious and the vibes are great!

WHERE TO BUY BOTTLES TO-GO

Henry & Son

Henry & Son is well known for their small-production, well-curated selection of wine, most with a natural focus. They're important for approachable wine education and exposure here in the Twin Cities. You'll see familiar Martha Stoumen bottles you know and love on their shelves!

Surdyk's

Surdyk's has been around since 1934 and is independently owned! They have a huge selection (big store, lots of choices).

    WHAT TO SEE

The Walker Art Center and Sculpture Garden

The Walker Art Center and its sculpture garden are visual hallmarks of Minneapolis. The museum also has a restaurant if the art inspires an appetite!

    First Ave

This live music venue is chock full of rich history.

    WHERE TO SHOP

    Electric Fetus

This record shop has been around since 1968! They're one of the only record stores that stuck it out until record players got cool again.

    D.NOLO

This indie clothing store feels more curated than most. If you need a break from shopping, head next door to teeny tiny Cobble House for a drink!
