February Industry Insights

Oh, February. Goes as fast as she comes—rest is on the mind, but energy is high as we prepare for our spring/summer release. The month is all consumed by blending, bottling wines, tallying final case counts, tasting as a team, and all the logistics of getting wine from barrel to bottle. Somehow, with all of that, there’s still been room for reading and researching—here’s what we’ve been keeping up with.

 
• We’ve loved following along with Janelle’s (@burgersandwines)  #BlackWineStoryMonth social shares throughout February, which includes our very own Imane (on day 7!).

•Everything Margot writes on The Fizz is gold, but this article with Onyeka Obiocha about building community really stuck with us.

• We’re taking the farmers market approach to winemaking.

• “Do dry-farmed vines make better wine?” Wine Enthusiast asks. (We know our answer).

• Just for fun: Loving this artist’s colorful still lifes.
