Spring/Summer 2022 at Lily's Table

WON'T YOU COME TAKE A SEAT AT OUR TABLE? Martha Stoumen Post Flirtation Red and White sit on a table with beautiful daffodils and sweet pea flowers

Pro tip: When you’re short on space, fill the bathtub with ice and use it as a wine cooler. Gathered around the table at Lily’s cozy Oakland apartment, we uncorked some frosty Spring/Summer bottles and ushered in the longer, golden evenings that spring has to offer. A celebratory feeling hung in the air—plates piled high with Earth’s bounty; glasses full of our playful and surprising offerings. The crisp spring day faded into the evening as we were bathed in the glow of the early evening sun settling for the evening; a sign of the changing seasons and warmer days to come. Laughter, buzzing connection, and a breezy sense of delight floated through the air as we enjoyed the flavors of springtime.

On the table sits a braised white bean dish and other spring offerings. The SS22 release brings fresh vintages of mainstays like Out to the Meadow  and Post Flirtation Red, plus new contemplations on classics like Varietally Incorrect Zinfandel and Syrah 2019. These wines were right at home with sharing-friendly and veggie-focused dishes presented by chef Lily Chait, a Bay Area chef with Chez Panisse experience. The delightful dinner was captured beautifully by Emma K Morris, a badass food and event photographer of the broader Bay Area.
